GE Healthcare wanted to create excitement around the new strategy and help staff better understand it. There was a strong need to make the internal communications more engaging, and to find a new way of delivering the message. To communicate the strategy in a compelling way, we designed a virtual group-based escape room.
The storyline had a potential client was assessing suppliers for a major global deal. To find the right supplier an entirely new type of bidding process was invented – all employees of the supplier were to be challenged and display their understanding of the company strategy and to show in what way they could contribute to bringing it to life.
The challenges included showing an understanding of global health care trends, the needs of customers and what they value, understanding core products and services, including holistic knowledge, the values and best practices as well as some fun brain teasers, photo missions and other creative missions.
British retail brand Marks & Spencer wanted to create a game that would provide new starters with a more interactive way of exploring the strategy and navigating the product journey. We designed the interactive “From farm to fork” game, presenting the product journey, while encouraging in-depth discussions among teams on the company’s values, culture, and strategy.
The game helped new starters get excited about a series of journeys: their personal journeys as new employees, the company’s journey and direction of travel over the next few years, the customer journey across the various strands of the business, and the product journey in the context of an ongoing commitment to sustainability and accessibility.
Feedback from these questions was presented on the live game dashboard, along with an all-important leaderboard. The game rating was a smashing 4.7 out of 5! The game would become an important feature of the company’s onboarding agenda, with each new cohort connecting in small groups to take on the challenge and compete on the all-time leaderboard.
Expedia wanted to help employees gain a holistic understanding of the company and its various units and functions. We designed an interactive business game where teams would learn about Expedia from a customer’s point of view.
The game, called the Partner Experience, took players through the entire customer journey. Playing as a fictional person called Anna (a potential B2B partner), the participants interacted with Expedia all the way from marketing, BD, legal, through to an ongoing partnership.
The client wanted top managers across the globe understand the shift from one-off, hardware focused sales to a more recurring services model. We designed a fun, collaborative business game where managers played from a customer point of view, trying to maximise revenues, while outdoing the other teams.
